Just 10? Ok...
1. "Friends of Mine"
2. "Last Chance on the Stairway"
3. "The Seventh Stranger"
4. "Winter Marches On"
5. "Do You Believe in Shame?"
6. "Serious"
7. "Ordinary World"
8. "Watching the Detectives" (I think it's as good as the original)
9. "So Long Suicide"
10. "Playing with Uranium"
-- Dee the Lurker (admi...), April 9th, 2003.

i love "electric barbarella" and "out of my mind" but is it worth getting "medazzaland" and should i get the japanese import to get "ball and chain"?

I don't have the Japanese import so I can't comment on 'Ball and Chain' - you'll have to wait for Dee to surface - but I have Medazzaland, and it is... interesting. It's quite an experimental album, which makes it a much more stimulating listen than Astronaut, for e.g. But there's nothing else on it as stonking as 'Electric Barbarella'. Apparently they purposely set out to write a song that harked back to the first 2 albums and 'Electric Barbarella' was the result. So no wonder I like it.

BTW, 'Serious' didn't make it onto my top 10 in the end, b/c I don't trust my motives. I think it's a great song, but I have yet to experience it w/o the video. It's a beautiful video, and Nick looks so devastating in it that I'll have to reserve judgement until I've gotten 'Liberty' and learned to separate the track from the visuals. Tchah.

I still feel like my list up there is just about right, but I am really getting a thing for "(I'm Looking For) Cracks In The Pavement" too. The "Seven And The Ragged Tiger" album is actually a bit underrated.

It's probably sacrilege, but the album cuts on Big Thing are some of my favorite DD things these days. Take out Drug, and from Too Late Marlene to Lake Shore Driving is fantastic. Give me the first LP + b-sides, Arcadia, Notorious, Big Thing and i'm set.

Big Thing was my fave DD album for a long time, I'd only rank it second nowadays to All You Need Is Now... I wrote this as well in that recent thread on 'least acclaimed albums you like'.
Drug is the only track on the album I don't exactly love, but I don't hate it either.
I saw them in 2008, they played an 'electroset' which included All She Wants Is and I Don't Want Your Love, I thought it worked really well.

Alfred, although I'd personally rank many album tracks, many songs from later albums and certainly Secret Oktober above lots of songs from your list I can't argue with the fact that those 30 tracks are all pretty great indeed. But I can't make heads or tails of that article. Interpol being fun or not relating to Duran Duran... how? Bass lines being a giveway for the singer's demeanour, huh?? US president eras as British artist timeline markers - erm...?

I’ll pick “Come Undone” as my POO. It’s one of those “decade defining” songs in my life, despite not being a fan of the band.

Kinda surprised I never did this before. I do recall defending 7&tRT elsewhere, at least.
