Fun fact: In Mojo recently they had article about Apple Records and one of the employees said that Muhammed Ali used to call the office every few days, "...that he loved chatting with the Fab Four."

That Ali/Beatles photo is one of my favorite ever; I'm not sure that I wouldn't have expected them to be photographed together in 1964 (it makes perfect sense in so many ways), but it does make me really happy.

IIRC, the Beatles/Ali pic was a photo op from their trip to Miami for the second Ed Sullivan appearance. Ali was training there at the time.

Ali/Liston took place in Miami on February 25, 1964. Malcolm X and Sam Cooke were in town for the fight, making Miami the cultural/political center of the universe for a few days.

Too bad there isn't an Ali/X/Cooke/Beatles pic. Now That's What I Call A Photo Op!
