another cheap totally underrated game: $30 for Alpha Protocol

I think I just turned a corner in this game - learning how to "fly" with the chute and grapple. The "ohhhh I get it now" was similar to when I first surfed the electrical lines in InFamous.

great thing to do with this game: climb a mountain to find a citadel, kill everyone in it, blow up everything and then leap off the side of the mountain. unfortunately, this is more or less the ONLY thing to do with this game.

drive really fast on your motorcycle off a cliff, hit your parachute at the last second, glide over beautiful snow capped mountains into a river valley below

Speedboats off cliffs are fun too. As is hooking two planes together and watching them death spiral into a city.

i loved this game but there was def a point where the stupidity of the writing and story became more than just "eh". because i kinda wanted the repetition to add up to something, i guess

revisited this recently, bloody loving it. I should be complaing that it's fairly repetetive but somehow I keep finding things to do picking up hidden stuff or randomly destroying government property. My favourite right now is taking out the antenna stations. Twanging the supporting cables with my chopper.

The dialogue is hilarious. There's a mission where you have to pick up some prostitute and the woman who is telling you about the mission constantly bad mouths the 'filthy whore'

I'm gonna do the missions over time but just fucking around is def fun. I just like to blow stuff up I think, & then ride away to some new locale, ad nauseum (since I get motion sick in these kinds of games, but it's worth it)

that's what i felt too, but i think that's because a) i didn't really stick to the missions because the scripts and acting were too dull and (more importantly) b) i found the missions very hard.

yeah like i said, man, nearly a year ago now, the stupidity was an afterthought for much of the game... until it wasn't. there was no reason for the mission design to be so repetitive and for the writing and v/o to be so bad.

it pains me to say that, but it's true these days.

this is a fun game for me, i have a million hours in and still not completed but i pick it up every now and again for just a muck about and to do some more missions. a bit like how i play fallout 3 really.

i had something similar happen with my gta:SA game on the 360. was one mission away from completion. almost got that far when i played it on ps2. i'm never gonna finish that game.

(and when i say 'completion', ste, i just mean the story missions. i know you've probs nabbed every morsel of graffiti!)

in jc2 i just like finding and owning all the locations and faction items. i dont think i'll ever finish this one

completing the big city in this one was too damn hard; I got 3/4 of them but on the 4th stuck at like 96% (or more? can't say, has been months). problem is that you can't use the net for help because I do not want to check every single coordinate. obsessive gameplay has its costs

But loving this game, I'm almost 70% done and no intention of stopping.

have done all the locations now, at 93.5% or so, thinking about putting it down since I don't wanna do all the races (fuck traffic) but yeah, what a game. 120+ hrs in the end

There are still a few things I can't find in the cities to finish them 100%. It's driving me nuts.

It's just behind the timesuck that is Skyrim in the time I've spent playing it. I never, ever get tired of it.

omg jc3 has leaderboards game over man, game over

Picked up JC3 couple of days ago, cheap on Steam that's why.

So it's glitchy as hell and on the whole feels like a clumsy PC production but I can't stop playing despite that. The utterly awful AI coupled with some dodgy physics makes for some interesting stuff, but can make escort missions too frustrating.

I also hate the winged suit addition.
