I have a job interview this afternoon, i'm so confident that right now i'm filling out an online application for another job. my favorite question so far:
Are you willing to work with others? Yes No
― chicago kevin, Monday, 24 September 2007 13:02 (sixteen years ago) link
willing, yes. looking forward to, no.

You've done your share of troublemaking Strongly disagree Disagree Agree Strongly agree
It is hard to really care about work when the job is boring Strongly disagree Disagree Agree Strongly agree

Those questions would be fine if they were on a job counselor's questionnaire, but on a job application they're pretty loaded.
― jaymc, Monday, 24 September 2007 13:39 (sixteen years ago) link
I hate shit like that, because if you tell the truth it makes you look bad but if you lie it's really obvious that you're lying. When I worked for that company in Richmond that did testing for potential employees, they used questions like that to find out how honest people were being in the testing.

the correct answer would have been i don't work too hard because i'm likely hung the hell over.

Today is easy.

Yeah, I was making a joke similar to Kenan's, but mine was funnier, because it was Hello Kitty, who has no mouth at all.

I have it on good authority that Hello Kitty uses sunlight energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and glucose through the process of photosynthesis.

I've done a lot of packing, but it seems like there still must be so much more to go. I don't know if that's just a function of having a sink still full of dishes and sheets still on the bed, etc., things that aren't going to change until this weekend, anyway.

Most of what I learned about Calvin, Krebs, ATP, and the like has been pushed to the foggiest recesses of my brain.

I got a holiday card from my uncle & his wife the other day, including the line: "Hope your musical "career" is going well!"
Maybe they're weren't trying to sound patronizing with the quotes but I lol'ed.

Fuck a 90 degrees. No, seriously. Don't tease me with sweater weather and then go back to this.

I don't want to be at work today. I really need a haircut, but I also want to go to guitar stores and look at guitars and if I get a haircut I won't have time for that. But I REALLY need a haircut.
