When I first heard DMX's "Party Up (Up In Here)" a few years after it came out I assumed it was Bonecrusher, who I had yet to hear.

For fucks sake. Way to conveniently forget NOLA bounce, Memphis bass music, DJ Jubilee, early Suave House, Ride Out music etcetc. Lil Jon was making "crunk" music since 1994, it's not some sudden new variation on the "Louie Louie Template". And quit with the cringey rock music comparisons, please.
