Since a bunch of this thread comes from other websites and periodicals, maybe you should give up on much of the internet

i kind of feel all of these proper EOY lists are just a way to kill time until the ilx one, which i'm sure will have many smh moments but in the main tends to be way way better than anything else. who else placed both electrik red and the-dream in last year's top 5? with taylor swift winning the trax list?
― lex lex lex lex lex on the track BOW (lex pretend), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 10:35 (thirteen years ago) link
Ha! I'd already forgotten that Taylor won the tracks list.
― Lightning Is For Babies (Johnny Fever), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 10:37 (thirteen years ago) link
xpost ^^^ Yeah I feel this way. Inadvertent archival ILM review capsules are the best also.
TBH I'm always surprised that people focus so much on the lists themselves when to my mind the review capsules are the more interesting bit. Although TBH that's really "potentially". In practice they're often depressingly inadequate, esp. for the stuff i like.

Looking for the results thread, I realized that musically started the noms process the second week of December (the 8th to be exact). Where's she at this year?

yeah i haven't seen her post, like, since that thread -- was wondering if you or i or both of us would have to take it over again
(i wouldn't mind but didn't want to trample on musically's thing)

#2+#3 together don't outscore #1
More interesting 751 slots has produced 323 albums. BUT if you take out everything that only has one vote (180 albums) you reduce the number only 142 albums filling those 571 slots.

Even baby boomer Leftsetz didn't like the Elton John and Leon Russell. That must have been owner Jan Wenner's choice.

That's the worst list so far.
Listening through the Fact list and while they can be spot on at times they do like shome shonk as well. That Fantastic Mr Fox tune sound like something someone found down the back of an MP3 blog in 2006.
