well damn

gimme schefter (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 5 December 2010 19:40 (thirteen years ago) link

getting anything delivered here is utterly fucking infuriating, you talk to 8 people and give your address 12 times and tell them again which highway you're by and the nearest major cross street and after 10 minutes on the phone they tell you OH SORRY WE CAN'T DO THAT and i'm still hungry and now less patient

this kind of fucked up shit is how i end up with the habanero chicken abomination

RED LOBSTER IS NOT GOING TO DELIVER TO MY HOUSE, GOOGLE, FUCK YOU

this is a benefit of living on an island with a 5k population. everything is within delivery distance because nothing is more than 4 miles away and still in my town.

lack of car and lack of nearby groceryage continues to make this a challenge. my one housemate-coordinated grocery trip did not leave me with enough to go the sangwich route today.

a) for next time i know better
b) for next time i may have peapod

man this shit is depressing

we need to stage a sandwich intervention

gimme schefter (J0rdan S.), Monday, 6 December 2010 04:28 (thirteen years ago) link

your purchasing of dominos sandwiches negatively effects your life in the following ways:

1. it has disconnected you from your family and friends
2. i can't sleep at night knowing whether or not you're eating a dominos sandwich
3. the dominos sandwich eating crowd that you surround yourself with drives you down further
4. you're wasting all of your money on dominos sandwiches
5. you have trouble keeping a job

gimme schefter (J0rdan S.), Monday, 6 December 2010 04:32 (thirteen years ago) link

sat sandwich--a fresh pork chops surrounded on either side by havarti on fresh baked roll

fri sandwich--proscuitto & salami & roast beef on mozza on a piece of garlic naan

says the aldrich ames of sandwiches

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 05:52 (thirteen years ago) link

i've come to think in the last couple weeks that chicken just shouldn't been in sandwiches if not in "salad" form

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:03 (thirteen years ago) link

are you forgetting the fried cutlet

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:03 (thirteen years ago) link

i am :(

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:04 (thirteen years ago) link

i just had like two days in a row where i ate bland sandwii with grilled chicken breast in them and i hated it

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:06 (thirteen years ago) link

the best though are the "secret sandwiches" my butcher makes for me. i just ask him to fill some bread or a roll with a combination of things and he doesn't tell me what he puts in them. various deli meats and cheeses and spreads. they don't even have a sandwich counters. i want a secret sandwich!!!

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:07 (thirteen years ago) link

yeah im not a big fan of plain chicken breast on a sandwich, or deli sliced chicken either

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:08 (thirteen years ago) link

xpost the question mark dumdum of sandwiches

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:08 (thirteen years ago) link

i had a truly horrendous club sandwich yday, all greasy and too big and too much chicken

who here can get into a good ol-fashioned tuna melt

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:09 (thirteen years ago) link

love a tuna melt. how do you take yours

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:11 (thirteen years ago) link

sometimes i like them on english muffins, othertimes on challah
cheddar is the move
a little sprinkling of cayenne powder can lead to excellent results

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:15 (thirteen years ago) link

yes i like plain wheat bread, put a little ancho chili powder on the tuna itself then top with thickly sliced sharp cheddar or vermont white cheddar

never tried on english muffin or challah, but i will

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:17 (thirteen years ago) link

you folks making me feel like a sandwich amateur here

ciderpress, Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:27 (thirteen years ago) link

need some advice?

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:30 (thirteen years ago) link

today i ate a very plain but very delicious sandwich

plain "wheat" bread - not whole grain
a large blob of nathan's mustard
2 slices pepper jack
plain "wheat" bread - not whole grain

it was so good.

tim lincecum in a giants snuggie (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 06:32 (thirteen years ago) link

ok that one's a bit less intimidating, that's basically what i eat when i'm all out of sandwich meats. either that or grilled cheese w/ a bit of cayenne melted in

ciderpress, Tuesday, 7 December 2010 13:42 (thirteen years ago) link

tuna melt on pumpernickel is awesome

tehresa, Tuesday, 7 December 2010 13:47 (thirteen years ago) link

oh ya pumpernickel. good call.

my all-time sandwich from childhood? rye bread (maybe with caraway seeds), chicago 58 kosher salami hand-sliced thick, TONS of french's mustard

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 14:33 (thirteen years ago) link

I love French's mustard. I have like 8-10 mustards in the house, but French's is the one for a simple sandwich of cold cuts.

pixel farmer, Tuesday, 7 December 2010 14:39 (thirteen years ago) link

old-school yellow mustard is the best.

shirley summistake (s1ocki), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 14:41 (thirteen years ago) link

i mean, i love many mustards. but special place in heart.
