okay give us something quantifiable then since you're saying that wiz's hit single & touring is apparently irrelevant to the question

im not wrong that curren$y could easily sell out colleges, or that the entire crowd at the wiz show i saw knew exactly who curren$y was & whent nuts when the dj dropped his tracks.

yeesh i conceded that wiz may have recently surpassed him, but it would be entirely on the basis of that single alone. as i said tho, curren$y is far more popular than u guys think

and ive given you 'quantifiable' reasons why

i don't agree with "mild critical acclaim" or even that curren$y is a star as of yet and it's not like devin hasn't already and isn't continuing to record with a shitton of regional guys but okay

he was on young money & tons & tons of rap fans know who he is? lil wayne put him on at the height of his popularity? hes been recording tracks coast to coast w/ artists from virtually every regional scene?

and both are more popular than devin thd dude, not sure why he was even brought into this

wiz & him have done joint cds together so theres a massive audience overlap

also he had a minor hit of his own with "where the cash at"

i don't think, right now, curren$y could sell out a 600 sro space in nyc with a 25 cover. maybe with wiz? maybe not. and if he could, it would totally be because of black and yellow

dude half of wiz's tapes were recorded with currensy

wiz's first appearances were probably on currensy tapes -- wiz's original fanbase migrating from currensy's, not the other way around
