Don't get Gimme Shelter at all but obviously a lot of ILMers do. "God Only Knows" is great but I prefer both the other Beach Boys tracks that have appeared (also prefer a bunch of other Beach Boys tracks).

I am a massive Beach Boys fanboy but voted for Good Vibrations and Don't Worry Baby over God Only Knows. not that God Only Knows isn't great but the vulnerability on DWB is IMO the key part of their early catalog aside from the surfing, girls and car.

and "gimme shelter" is massive, towering, without blemish. sounded like all holy hell when i was a kid and still gives me chills in its final moments. will not hear a word said against it.
