Anyone else playing Words With Friends? It's fun but these ransoms always quit whenever I bingo..

The updates for DoodleGods have been cutely amusing fun. latest one was a kind of RPG theme pack, with wizards and dragons and raiding parties saving a princess and whatnot.

Also just picked up some apparently highly acclaimed 16-bit throwback RPG called Zenonia for $0.99 (on sale til Monday!), have not tried it yet.

Totes. Its ridic addictive, and I cant even figure out why! Its like watching soaps. "just one more game then I'll go to bedahhhshit its 3am"

Yeah I already did that with Peggle. Once drank a ton of Four Loko and sat in my friend's basement until 7am. Also am only a bit into Assassin's Creed: Altair's Whatever, and I haven't even started Zenanana yet, so it's more like a "hey if it's cheap I'll pick it up so I can play it in a few weeks or whatever" thing.

Also am I the only one that just simply does not like Angry Birds?

I bought Angry Birds for some reason and regretted it immediately. So joyless.

It feels like every shot is a crapshoot and I'm sure that, you know, you get better at aiming over time or whatever but this game gives me no incentive to continue playing it for that fucking long.

isn't it? i don't know any actual gamers that like it; even casual gamers seem kinda meh on it. It's game for non-gamers.

Angry Birds takes a bit of time to get into, but once you're hooked you can't put down the bloody thing.

I never understood people's hesitation to buy a $1-2 iPhone app. I wait for sales too, of course, but $1.19 is so ridiculously cheap in software terms that you're bound to be up on the deal, even if you only spend 10 minutes using it.

yes. i played it a lot for little enjoyment. otoh i have some gamer friends who loooooove it.

I must be the rare joyless squab that enjoys angry birds and cut the rope more than 9 innings and game dev (which is the most rote management game i've ever played fwiw).

for some reason I have been playing world war. it is how I imagine farmville or some horrible game where there is no actual "game" just like a skinner box to click a button every few hours.

cut the rope is terrific and also incredibly incredibly frustrating.

It's terrific up to the parts where things are too close together to be able to reliably tap the right one, and the frustration is at the controls rather than your own inability to figure out/pull off a solution.

With a cancelled flight from London yesterday, and a 6 hour train journey instead, I treated myself to Game Dev Story. Played it solidly. It may just be Rock Start Ate My Hamster with computer games, but it's soooo good. Seriously, just drop the $4!

21 years and I got a 40 pt game that won the grand prize. may continue on until my company runs the globe.
