kids in drawers

My mother thought she would have as many kids as she could fit in her dresser. Then she had me, & then my brother. We were both pains in the ass, and afaik never slept in drawers, because we were too busy crying. So yeah, I know the phenomenon but yeesh.

i just always imagined the best part of a baby in a drawer is that you could just put it away. companys coming for dinner? close the drawer

dresser, second from top iirc. when i first came home from the hospital, my sister was so angry that she bombed it with baby powder. we've since reconciled.

I never slept in a drawer but I wish I had! Also, I once threatened to make a (fully adult) guest (Oooon!) sleep in a drawer on account of her being small enough to drink outta a thimble.

things i have put smaller people into, for laffs: an enormous frying pan, giant messenger bag, various duffels, a cupboard
