i did, i admit, momentarily neglect the size difference in measures. got schooled by a gang of maine trawlermen my first session stateside. pretty sure they were more disappointed than i was.

13. Make all alcohol measures yank-sized. A nation with an international drunkard rep to protect can't be taken seriously with 37.5 ml meniscus bait.

although it may not exactly aid us in 'getting us back on our feet' tbh

there may well be something in going back to 'quiet man' ireland, given that it's a lifestyle we can actually afford to maintain and it seems to draw the tourists and all

Goths in Home & Away in my lifetime (darraghmac), Thursday, 18 November 2010 23:43 (thirteen years ago) link

concur, the future for countries that have come to rely on tourist dollar is "stop trying to be the country the tourists are coming from"

Check out the effect on Erris of having a pipeline shoved through it. The area is beautiful. Won't be long if the project continues.

We're on stand by here, with the full resources of the Cape of Good Hope ready to support the Emerald Isle.

I mean, not much we can probably do about a hurricane, but we're full of cheer and good suggestions.

xps Intrigue

The usual wondering whether, in all seriousness, there might be a themed session in it later on.

Town was very quiet, took a spin in at 9am to get her laptop from work. Most coverage acknowledging that it's genuinely serious and little to no moaning about cancellations and travel restrictions, which given our national character is telling enough

We're in an apt block covered on all sides but the trees are still taking a fair battering in the last ten mins or so.

Christ I wish I was on the island for it tho. Theres no danger up here at all at all
