I think we shouldn't be posting our respective lists on this thread yet ... if enough people do so then it will start to ruin the surprise ...

Eight of mine have appeared so far, including three of my top ten. I guessed that between 18-21 songs on my list would end up in the final 100 so things are basically on schedule.

More than ever, I'm getting the feeling that Pulp dominated this poll.

i love these lists though they really make me wonder why i love ILM so much. My taste excludes very little but does pretty much exclude poppy dance and dancey pop as well as "clever" pop.

I actually think this is one of their weaker singles, but I must trumpet the BRILLIANCE of these lines, some of the very best Jarvis has ever written:

Actually, the bitterness implicit in the casually tossed off "It makes good sense for you to live together" line is great, yeah. I think it's the chorus that lets it down, maybe. It never meant that much to me.

"Do You Remember the First Time?" is a great single but it might not even be one of their ten best of the decade.

I guess we still have "Babies," "Disco 2000" and "Common People" at least to go before the list's end. We might only have "He's on the Phone" left from St. Etienne, at least.

Well, I've only seen SEVEN of my choices (and none lower than #71!) so I either voted with the masses or against them.
Put votes in for "Pictures of You" and "Shook Ones".
Retrospectively wish I'd voted higher for "The Rain" "Creep" "Sour Times" and ESPECIALLY "TROY" (fifteen was WAY too low).
"Halcyon" was my number three.
Corny FUXX alert: the remainder of my top two were "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Are You That Somebody?"
Bonus points to those who can guess the order of those two.
