I'm saving the Freeman interview so every time somebody claims one of his arguments is strawman I can pull it up and say "no here is the last human being in captivity who has thunk these thoughts".

In need of animating I think:

I can't see him reacting to a CGI dragon too well. xp

On UK comedy:

"I come from a time when not every routine was 'pirate' this and 'ninja' that; an earlier socially and morally conscious comedy sensibility, when it was, 'Don't call people ginger'.

"But now it's ninja, ninja, ninja, and it's not funny or interesting politically, artistically or socially. I really don't like it."

I was going to make this very quip. :'(

before reading this thread I knew and thought pretty much nothing about Martin Freeman, and now that I've read it I see that he is a giant twat who I should hate a lot. It pleases me that I can trust ILX to be edifying like this.

Freeman was just about passable as B.S. Johnson in the radio 3 adaptation of The Unfortunates. This is higher praise than it might seem as I am VERY precious about that book.

Not actually bothered enough by either actor to cast a vote, however.

Freeman was good in the Greenaway flick. Pegg's alien movie looks dire as hell. I like 'em both, kind of a tough call.
