What did you use to look like? Old photos.

I remember when I was 19 thinking I looked like one of the Wiggin sisters...it was totally the hair + baby fat combo.

Close to my favorite old photo of myself, probably dating to '78 or '79. There's one I'd rather have even more, but my dad had the great foresight to spend 10 or 15 years taking family photos in slide format (and the equally great foresight to have all those slides transferred onto a VHS tape in the '90s): me about to head out for Neil Young's Rust show in the winter of '79, wearing overalls, a plaid shirt, a black pinstriped jacket (just like on Tonight's the Night), a trucker's hat, and work boots. Can't find the tape, else I'd try to retrieve it.

Love how Tuomas' best friend in 1997 was a female clone of him.

You were a braver little boy than I ever was. I didn't (and still don't) run from snakes or anything, but hell no I'm not picking one up.

b/w ages of about 4-10, I read & endlessly fascinated by all manner of reptiles, amphibians, fish & insects (& spiders, until I got bit by a nasty one). Thankfully I grew up in an area which, while still def the suburbs, was nestled among a diversity of ecosystems that supplied me w/ ample opportunities to indulge my passion. ftr I never killed anything (save for what I kept for my butterfly & moth collection), tho I had a revolving collection of 'temporary pets' throughout my childhood.

Oddly, even tho I can barely remember what I did last week, I still have a detailed memory of the taxonomy of all those creepy crawly things.

In 1980 (age 6), I was on a local afternoon kids tv show. This was before the family had a vcr, so when it came on tv, my dad set up his camera and took some photos (which makes it look like it's from the '50s). I'd love to get a tape of it now, but there's no way that rinky dink little Public Television station saved all (or any of) those tapes.

Well, I was busted in 1988 shoplifting an Aerosmith tape from K-Mart. At the time, that scared the shit out of me, but now I realize that I was never going to be in that much trouble for stealing something that was about $7.
