a friend of mine from memphis told me a story about when he was on tour with a semi-well known band where before the tour started they decided that whenever someone asked if they "liked to party" they were going to say yes and do whatever that happened to mean in that particular city.

Gf's dorm was norton hall so I called her friends there the norton anthology.

That explains why no one has ever asked me this! I've heard people say "I like to party" but just generally thought that meant "I like to get wasted on (drug of choice) and possibly have wild sex with someone I may or may not know very well."

This is why that's dumb, too. I have on at least one occasion found myself answering that question with, "Yeah, sometimes at bars, when I'm drinking."

Me too, except I don't smoke cigarettes but do smoke weed every now and then, so I have to backpedal.

I think it's a safe assumption that the kind of guys who would ask me if I wanted to party would probably not be the kind of guys I would want to party with anyway.
