The Comprehensive Spending Review
I don't think this would actually be that terrible a band name.
A friend of mine a looong time ago came up with 'Hedge' as an exemplar of a particularly boring band name, and I think it's pretty good.
Sadly I've also had a few friends who've named their bands things that I think are spectacularly boring, but I fear naming them on the internet in case of repercussions.

wasn't there a thread of people trying to post good unused band names? I always try to find it but can't remember the title.

There was actually a band called Straw about 10 years ago. I do remember thinking "wtf are you thinking?" at the time.

Fifteen years ago was the heyday of indie bands shooting for the most boring name possible. I think of the trajectory as The Smiths -> Big Black's t-shirts which looked like they were adverts for a tool manufacturer -> après Pavement, le déluge.

I quite like 'Bad Murder' and 'Maths'. Though I suspect the former, being a reference to a contemporary comedy series, would in actuality be a terrible student band. The second would be mathrock, obviously.
