I have, just not recently. And of course, there's plenty of non-photorealism posted anyway.

But, here's a couple...

Truthfully, I spend most of my time thinking about visual artists who draw comic books.

I like photorealism when it has a strong surrealist element (ala David Lynch movies or Gregory Crewdson photographs) - something just a little off in the perspective or colors that alters your perception.

One of my favorites (crap photo, in person the blacks are much richer) -

The Al Columbia is from one of his Zero Zero pieces, "Amnesia" I think.

I need to check out some of Rob's songs -- I haven't been keeping up to date at all.

This thread is great. I've been avoiding it for a few weeks because of overwork and a bad mood, but I'm glad I checked it out.

Those Torok paintings are tiny, less than 3 inches tall. On my screen, they appear bigger than life size.

Looking through a back issue of Artforum, I noticed some interesting abex stuff by a person called Suling Wang. On google, I find that there is a Suling Wang who is an abstract painter, and there is a Suling Wang who is an illustrator, primarily of children's books. I suspect these are different people, but am not entirely sure.

He begins with a reproducton of an erotic Ukiyo-e print, cuts it up into fragments too small to convey narrative information, recasts those fragments in axially symmetric "inkblots," and silkscreens the resulting grid-based pattern onto the picture plane.

Ryan Trecartin. I saw his show at QED in Culver City. The installation seemed so-so, but the video 'A Family Finds Entertainment' is really funny, and I don't normally have much of a weakness for John Watersy stuff.

Also, this was somewhere in LA's Chinatown last Semptember. I don't know the name of the piece, the artist, or the gallery (which has since closed). I don't remember if I saw it in person because I was so drunk.

Yeah, I have to say I'm a big fan of Peter Day Jackson. (Articles, works, & bio behind link, or click here: http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/artists/matthew_day_jackson.htm).

Jonathan Meese, I find simply irritating.

i was extremely excited and then deeply saddened when, as i was scrolling down, i saw ten pieces of art all in a row that i truly love and was ecstatic to see that someone else loved all of them as well... only to realize i had posted them.
