Things I think frequently at work:

1. Crystal Light is actually pretty tasty.
2. Wow! That toilet makes no noise! (it's nearly completely silent, except a slight gurgle at the end of the flush.)

My roommate in college had a no boys policy all 4 years.

That's apparently a real sign, according to the Flickr user who posted it.

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:02 (sixteen years ago) link

I think my (gay) freshman year roommate had a no girls policy, except he never actually said it. I think he just held it against me. We didn't really get along.

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:03 (sixteen years ago) link

Of my 10 most viewed pics on Flickr, 7 have boobs, and 1 is of Courtney's legs.

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:06 (sixteen years ago) link

There were no girls in my room all through freshman year, although that had nothing to do with any roommate policy.

ditto

river wolf, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:14 (sixteen years ago) link

My girlfriend freshman year lived in the all-girls' dorm, so when I stayed there I was CONTRABAND. :>

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:15 (sixteen years ago) link

They had the best cafeteria there. Make-your-own-waffles every day!

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:15 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm pretty sure I never so much as kissed a boy within the Ann Arbor city limits during my 3 years there.

sisut, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:17 (sixteen years ago) link

This did not make it to that first pic:

This is the office of an attorney who rents space from the firm. I have never met him, but I can tell he's been in some mornings because his mail has moved. One of the partners says that Osama bin Laden lives in there.

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:24 (sixteen years ago) link

I have listened to Joe's Garage twice today.

dan m, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:36 (sixteen years ago) link

Apparently no one has visited my flickr account at all in the last 30 days. :(

I added some old photos to it last night, though, while I was playing around with Facebook.

kenan, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:51 (sixteen years ago) link

What? I was just there this morning!

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:56 (sixteen years ago) link

I probably visit Jesse's Flickr more than any of yours, just b/c he has a series of amusing photos of me.

jaymc, Friday, 21 September 2007 18:59 (sixteen years ago) link

oh cool, thanks, Jesse! :)

I want to go back to NYC.

kenan, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:01 (sixteen years ago) link

3 hours until fun weekend of recording and partying

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:15 (sixteen years ago) link

"partying"?

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:16 (sixteen years ago) link

I looked at your airplane photo this morn.

Eazy, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:19 (sixteen years ago) link

My gfriend senior year was in a single-sex dorm. her roomate never showed up so she had a double to herself.

Eazy, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:22 (sixteen years ago) link

I just discovered that we're being let out an hour early today for Yom Kippur!

jaymc, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:23 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm still hungry.

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:25 (sixteen years ago) link

"partying"?

a friend of mine from memphis told me a story about when he was on tour with a semi-well known band where before the tour started they decided that whenever someone asked if they "liked to party" they were going to say yes and do whatever that happened to mean in that particular city.

chicago kevin, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:28 (sixteen years ago) link

Gf's dorm was norton hall so I called her friends there the norton anthology.

Eazy, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:30 (sixteen years ago) link

"partying"?

The innocent kind with dudes and beer, not girls and drugs.

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:31 (sixteen years ago) link

I just discovered that we're being let out an hour early today for Yom Kippur!

Is it on the condition that you fast?

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:32 (sixteen years ago) link

Ooh, I hope the bosses will leave!

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:32 (sixteen years ago) link

I was cold, drank some hot cocoa, and now I'm overheated. DOH!

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:33 (sixteen years ago) link

Do you work for the Jews, Sarah?

Jordan, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:33 (sixteen years ago) link

I was just saying that b/c of what Jordan said the other day-- I said something about working at the restaurant and Jordan repeated it in quotes.

"partying" generally means coke, right?

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:33 (sixteen years ago) link

Yes I do, Jordan.

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:37 (sixteen years ago) link

wha?
rilly?

La Lechera, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:37 (sixteen years ago) link

Hey! Let's talk about this Steelefest. When can you do it, A?

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:38 (sixteen years ago) link

Yah girl!

If you're out at a bar and someone says "Do you party?" they're talking about cocaine.

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:39 (sixteen years ago) link

(Yah girl to Amanda, not YOU, Sarah)

Jesse, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:39 (sixteen years ago) link

that's just it, it means something different to everyone. coke, meth, hookers, whatever.

xpost to jesse's "do you party", i think that would be the most common assumption.

chicago kevin, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:40 (sixteen years ago) link

That explains why no one has ever asked me this! I've heard people say "I like to party" but just generally thought that meant "I like to get wasted on (drug of choice) and possibly have wild sex with someone I may or may not know very well."

Weird.

Also, ummm, I don't know how to say this, but...I don't know that I was really all that serious about the Steelefest.
Honest truth: I am not good at sitting still for more than one movie, esp. if it is not at my house.

La Lechera, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:43 (sixteen years ago) link

Have it at your place then!

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:45 (sixteen years ago) link

Yeah right.

La Lechera, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:45 (sixteen years ago) link

I can bring Black Sunday.

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:45 (sixteen years ago) link

No?

KitCat, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:47 (sixteen years ago) link

Maybe.

La Lechera, Friday, 21 September 2007 19:47 (sixteen years ago) link

I thought it meant weed sometimes too. But then they would probably just say "dude, do you smoke?".
