Pwin Teaks reminds me of that thread from a few years back about how a music genre is officially dead when a band comes along that is a perfect caricature of the genre (Jet/00s garage rock being an example)

I don't know, I am honestly shocked at your resistance to a number of these acts, and ideas, Wang-art-en. If we love music for its ability to inform and inspire dialog, this is the richest time we've lived through. Writers haven't enjoyed this sort of direct injection into pop music since the 80s as far as I'm concerned. All this noise, the talk and the music, is moving together.
