WHEN WILL THEY RELEASE NEW IMACS?

ThinkSecret believes that the next generation iMac is in line for release in August with a brushed aluminum enclosure at only two inches thick:

The elegant new enclosure will somewhat resemble the current white iMac but is said to feature a shorter space below the actual display, where most of the internals are housed.

The new iMac is expected to be based on the Santa Rosa architecture and will only come in only 20" and 24" flavors with the 17" set to be discontinued.

Our Buyer's Guide notes that it has been 303 days since the last iMac update.

It's made of metal - don't much like the sound of that.

I don't like the sounds of the metal much either. I wonder where they're going with the design thing then -- white used to be consumer, but the iPhone is brushed metal too. Hm.

Unless it is heavy metal.

You're kidding! What a shit idea! Flaptop keyboards are shite! I can type about twice as fast on a desktop keyboard than I can on a laptop.

Yep. To be honest, I thought I was going to hate the MacBook keyboard, but I love it now, and type like ass on my IBM tank at work. And I've never liked Apple's current keyboard.
