Was Aeons name always meant to be Aeon?

I see no reason to why it couldn't be both, the episode names and much of the dialoge also have double meanings, correct me if i'm wrong but I even think Peter talks about this on one of the commentaries.

I am more interested in knowing were the name "Trevor Goodchild" comes from.
