How do I get Fender to start making the DeArmond Jetstar/Guild Thunderbird again?

that is one ugly guitar.

they look great, actually, especially with a pickguard. I used to have the ultra-budget "jet-star special", but I flogged it, meaning to get the standard model, which is a pretty fukcing nice guitar! I haven't seen one used for quite a while now. Big bonus of the (admittedly weird) shape = you can stand it against yer amp and it wil not fall over!!

I bought one recently.
Not as cheap as you say, but hey, its worth every penny, if only for the looks.
