Hey! I'm listening to this http://www.fugazi.net/dswat/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2227&osCsid=c4f7edf3e2a6d3c4ce16d2491e270870 right now and it is pretty dope. It is also borderline gabber. This guy likes his grindcore and DM I do believe

I don't think there's a lot of love for breakcore on here, all told, but I like a bunch of it so fuck 'em

I like a bit of Doddodo. I guess that's a bit too cutiecore to qualify in the most part for unperson's general needs here.

I'm mostly a fan of straight-er breakcore (i.e. meaner jungle versions like DJ Scud/Ambush or the harder end of gabba stuff like Hellfish & Producer/Deathchant/Praxis) not the more IDM-ish schtick that seems to appear occassionally on Planet Mu or Tigerbeat6. Fully admit it's a genre I haven't cared much about since the Ambush! comp came out on Rephlex (although I think I have a Bong-Ra EP collection from 05?)

So anyway S stuff I still listen to:

Ambush!
Mash Up The Place!
Murder Sound
All mostly DJ Scud and friends (the last is a split with Panacea)
The first two Panacea records are also good albeit a bit more techstep-y (the Redeemer collab Scud and Panacea did is less breakcore and more hardcore, but you might like it.)
There is also a stunning 40 minute Scud mix whose name I completely forget that was release as CDR on KoolPop or something. Starts w/ a Society Suckers remix of the remix of "Ante Up" and continues through Aphex Twin/Demolition Man/Nettle/Panacea. Quite recommended.
Both Hellfish & Producer albums are totally worthwhile (the Hellfish solo album is a bit more miss than hit IMO)
Collision Course collection (compiled by Kevin Martin? Breakcore, left-field hip hop, late DHR, etc--worth it for Scud's finest hour the positively brutal "Total Destruction" alone)

Also should mention if you like Soundmurderer his own CD is quite good (similar to Wired For Sound) as is the equally mashed up Debaser (who was supposed to have an album out, but it appears to have fallen off the face of the earth--anyway the 12"s on Press Up are all great "My Sound", "Clash Night", etc.)

five months pass...

Anyone got the new DJ Scotch Egg album yet? Sounds good to my ears - best thing he's done. A much easier listen than before, I think because the samples are generally not so harsh and tinny and there are some really cool sounds flying around. Also, it seems like there are live instruments on one or two tracks, creating a kind of breakcore/free jazz crossover.

eight years pass...

though I feel like I should be too old for this shit, getting into goreshit stuff -- circa 2009-12 adhd breakcore (aka lolicore) with anime imagery and almost industrial/noise textures. haven't heard his new stuff, but where I was thinking Machine Girl was as far as the kids were taking breakbeat and DnB, it turns out, no, this was pushed into the outer limits of taste some years ago.

ILM familiar with this stuff? as I am just now finding it, it's probably morphed into something else already

yeah, I've listened to a decent chunk of this stuff. what I've heard has been pretty inconsistent but some standouts -

dancefloor degrader is trashy happy breakcore fun w/lots of samples:

the gore with bombs split has this one really pretty melodic idm track w/squarepusher style breaks:

anyone know if this dude has more stuff like this one? I haven't found any if so. <3 this track.

the goretrance mega mixes are also kinda fun if you're in the right frame of mind, maddening if not:

ah yes, have listened to two complete goretrance mixes, and your description is right on.

"henrietta" is indeed very nice (looks like it also appears on his goresteppa LP). I listened to this track today, and while it's not pretty in the same way, it is very darkly gorgeous:
