A little shred of it was used as a sort of between-sample bumper in the Beastie Boys' "Shake Your Rump", and I'm fairly sure a more substantial bit was used for Cornelius' "Heavy Metal Thunder".

And c'mon, there's like 10 different Van Halen tracks that need to be sampled rite now; no need for that-fuckery. (Oh, hey, how about the first several seconds of their version of "Dancing in the Streets"?)

I've got a self-produced song containing both of these (the Billy Joel break is from "Don't Ask Me Why".) The reason I've never uploaded that one is because, well, it contains samples of Billy Joel and Steve Miller. Not the coolest dudes to sample in the world.

I was going to say "Groovin With Mr Bloe", but Jez beat me to it upthread. So how about "Hide Out" by The Hideaways? It's very rare. (But I have a copy. And no, you can't.) Sounds a bit like The Mohawks "Champ" meets "Smokey Joe's La La".

Then there's The Upsetters "Bucky Skank" - especially that ascending glissando bassline.

I also long to hear the spoken intro to X-Ray Spex "I Am A Cliche" dropped into the middle of a hard house track.

I mentioned this a long time ago in a different thread ... but the horn riff on Jay & the Techniques' "Keep the Ball Rollin'." Someone could use that to a similar effect as that of the Chi-Lites track on "Crazy in Love."
