I liked the music. Yes, this revival in America was marketed to 50 plus National Public Radio listeners only, and yea it's wrong that younger Cuban musicians aren't getting coverage as well, but well, you can't have everything.

Saw an enjoyable doc on PBS about Eliades Ochoa, From Cuba to the World. Covers his days in dive bars where sex workers threw in coins to get him to keep playing to his Buena Vista work, a video that made him bigger in Cuba, and a collaborative effort with Malians. A bit is confusing if you don’t know his history but still worth checking out
