1st album is really good. Blends surf rock, weird synthy stuff and a touch of country to the desert heavy rock stuff. Other albums are meant to be different and even more idiosyncratic. They had an album out last year on Josh Hommes label. If you like the Desert Sessions albums then you should like Fatso Jetson.
I downloaded a 'Sort Of Quartet' album off slsk. Its was kinda jazzy and not what i expected at all.

I listened to Died In California, off the last album, before I went to work this morning. It is a very sad song delivered with joyous vim. The whole album (Cruel & Delicious) is ace, in fact. Classik.

There's a cover of a Yawningman song (Catamaran) on ...And The Circus Leaves Town.

The Kyuss version of Catamaran is brilliant. Never heard the Yawningman version.

It used to be available as an RA on one of the main Kyuss fan sites, but they all seem to have disappeared, erk!

http://www.stonerrock.com/kyuss is the best known fan site. They even allow you to use their postscripts to Make your own KYUSS TEESHIRTS!
Are there any Kyuss threads on here? Cant find any due with the search function.

I don't think there are any - someone ought to rectify that, as there are at least a few fans.

Extremely special band. Here's a much longer version of a piece I originally wrote for LAWeekly. Lotsa low desert history/scenes in this one. Lifers.
