there have been 14 SB's posted in the last 24 hours, so i am pretty sure that the sb function is still working. obv we need to make sure by poking around under the hood, but i'll leave that to someone that knows what all those wires under there actually do.

and obv i dont know exactly when yer sbs were posted, but most of the people asking about them have some that have showed up recently, so i dont think anything is out of order - def think that (as king of the stupid and overlong username) the length of yer username can cause problems. for a final test if each of you want to pick someone to test the sb on (note: not someone you may have sbed before) and tell me who it is in this thread, i will verify that it went through and then remove the sb right away.

I just test SB'd Three Word Username at 16:20 british time which makes it 15:20 by my ILX time. Got the odd blank screen again.

I am quite certain that I've never SB'd them before and they said they only had 1 SB so it should be easy to tell if my SB showed up or not. (if it has, go ahead and remove it.)

From what I'm seeing, the blank screen means it hasn't gone through.

The last sb I see fro KDT is timed one week ago. I don't see any from NV or darraghmac.

I think it's a software bug but, as I said before, I can't dig into the back end plus I um really should be doing rl work so I can't do more than surface-testing here.

SB'd Three Word Username again at 15:30 ILX time from a different user name and a different browser as well, but I still got the blank screen.

(Internet Explorer 7 here but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.)

Given that kkvgz did one at 11:21 EST that was showing at 28 past, there is no time lag.

Some of them are working and some of them are not. If you go back to the thread, or back to the top of ILX, it is working for you. If you get a weird blank page with the URL http://www.ilxor.com/ILX//VoteForBanControllerServlet then your SBs do not show up.

I have just attempted to SB caek at 15:48 and I am sure that one will not turn up either.

The easiest way to test this without SB-ing random people left and right is to attempt to send a webmail, as it generates the same blank page and fail, as NV's email to me has not shown up over an hour later, and Dan's and Stet's turned up immediately.

Fairly certain it's not browser related as I've tried from 3 different browsers now.

Please can you remove caek's SB from me as that's not fair. Obviously my test SBs are not working, so I should not be retaliation penalised for them.

caek was joking, as far as I can tell (or else someone else is super-speedy at zapping sbs)

yeah my request to give the system time to catch up is partially an attempt to see if there are other anomalises going on here - obv the sb is not working quite the right/same way for everyone, so the reporting of sbs might not be either.

also until someone with access to the code shows up, all i can do is report that the majority of sbs seem to be working, so im not sure were going to get much done until then.

my sb function has been down for months, so tbh i'd be happier were i cleared of all received in the past while.

also one just appeared from 13 minutes ago (not any of the people in question here tho) so there is some amount of time lag, at least at times. xpost

see, if we had a suggest ban log this would all be cleared up and there'd be no problems

ok, so numerically i show more sbs than actually appear on my sb page, so it is possible that your sbs are showing up but not being tracked immediately?

which is a small consolation, and maybe inaccurate, but viewed in the right light is kind of like having superpowers.
