Jeez, all I'm saying is that I'd much rather read about an interesting tech entrepreneur like Zuckerberg than about "Nighttim3 0ptical Turbulenc3 Vertic@l Structur3 ab0ve D0me C in Ant@rctica." I'm not making some grand statement about their relative worth in the world. I spent a summer in college editing accounting textbooks; that wasn't much fun, either.

Exactly Amanda, the new fragrance from Coty, is a fresh breeze on a winter's day
it's a handful of peanuts when you're hungry for salt and protein
it's a good hearted mud wrestle with a couple of steamy co-eds
it's Exactly Amanda!

In the end, you should like what you do. As a man of many interests, I especially like that I get to edit articles on a variety of subjects -- the next one on my pile is about the new president of Argentina -- so that works out for me much better than if I were only reading articles on a single discipline, like astronomy. But YMMV.

Ahoy. I have been to the suburbs for a reason other than going to Ikea, and having done so, I declare:You can keep 'em.
I feel like I need to be decontaminated.

Though I did get free wine and dinner, which were mitigating factors. Still, to paraphrase Ogden Nash, "The suburbs? No thonx!"

Speaking of suburbs, there is a two-page advertisement for Bolingbrook in this week's Time Out Chicago. It mentions the IKEA, the new mall, and about a dozen restaurants that weren't there at all when I lived there. I'm afraid I'd barely recognize the place if I went back.

Like Courtney said, it was a good thing that they gave each of her employees a free bottle of wine and free dinner, cuz it would have pissed a lot of people off to drive that far for a tasting of 5 wines at a chain wine retailer.

I just typed in someone named McGee, and it made me think of McG, that music video director who did Fastball - The Way and some Sugar Ray videos. Remember him? I feel like he actually made a full length movie too, but I don't know anything about that.

One of the people I was out to dinner with last night is a vet tech, and when I showered her a phone pic of my cats she said "oh, a girl and a boy?" And I asked her how the hell she knew that, thinking it was some vet school thing about the facial ratios or something. She told me about the calico thing, and then goes "and the other one just looks like a boy!"
