Dude, the characters from FFIII (aka FFVI) are with me vividly to this day. It's the same thing with the music; they play Nobuo Uematsu's compositions in symphonies now, but they were still fucking awesome as midi files on NES. We don't need more technology, we need more imagination.

I don't remember cursing... is there a PSX version?

FF4 is the one between FFUS2 and FFUS3 right? That one looked awesome. My roomie had a translation patch.

Fushigina Blobby: Blobania no Kiki (ex machina), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 19:16 (fourteen years ago) link

seiken densetsu 3 is secret of mana 2! which i guess was never released in english, but supposedly there's a TRANSLATED ROM someplace.

FF4JP is FF2US, FF5JP is the one they didn't release in the US until one of those playstation anthology things, and FF6JP is FF3US... i think

Can you emulate the psx anthology discs?

You are correct as far as FF numbering.

Are you currently or have you recently been "Ready to Rock!"? Well, if you'd like to prove that you indeed have what it takes to "Rock" then you are hereby cordially invited to attend the first Rufus Guitar Hero Tournament.

Guitar Hero Tournament

Rufus (It's a bar)
640 10th Ave. Between 45th and 46th streets

Wednesday, September 13th

Three Divisions

"Medium" Division - 7:00 to 8:20
"Hard" Division - 8:30 to 9:50
"Expert" Division - 10:00 to 11:30

Registration is free.

Send an email to with your name and division to pre-register or you can register in person at Rufus the day of the event. Registration for each division starts now and ends 10 minutes before each competition.

If more than 8 people register for any division, expect the times to expand a bit. I'll keep you posted.

Format and Rules:
It is a face/off. Once everyone for a division is registered, they will randomly be placed in a tree bracket and matched up for the first round of head-to-head competition. If it is necessary for players to receive a "bye" for the first round, the bye's will be awarded to the first person(s) who registered for each division, respectively. A song will be randomly selected for each match. Both competitors in the match will play the song individually in solo-play mode. The highest score wins and advances. Songs will not be repeated within rounds.

NOTE: If you are not present for the start of your match you will be forfeited and your competitor will automatically advance.

For each division:
2nd place will receive a free shot to be determined by the tournament directors.
1st place gets free well drinks and/or cheap beer for the rest of the night (no, it doesn't transfer).

Special secret grand prize to the winner of the "Expert" division.

Please pass this on to interested parties and for the love of all things sacred please don't forget to rock.

Vic roams a postapocalyptic wasteland accompanied by his telepathic, ever-grumbling dog, eventually winding up in the clutches of a female-dominated underground society that wants his sperm. This low-budget cult film remains darkly humorous and unflinchingly brutal as its characters face difficult choices -- and the end of the world as they know it.
