Feeling weird and melancholy about this being 14 years ago. Such a beautiful & transcendent experience. Me and my buddy took the ferry to Manhattan from NJ, then the subway to Brooklyn. We wouldn't have gotten in if not for a blue-haired punk girl who we ran into along the way who invited us to join the line with her friends. We were too shy to really hit it off with them, but grateful nonetheless. I vividly remember watching the sun go down behind the Brooklyn Bridge and seeing the silhouettes of ppl who'd gathered up there to watch from above.
