Why is it okay for me to be at a bar, with some girl on my lap and slobbering all over me, but it’s not okay for two men to be intimate in a bathroom stall or anywhere else?

I’ve been visiting a lot of porn stores to research the issue of women and the image thereof in porn

1.0 out of 5 stars You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll throw up., October 16, 2003
At first view, this movie should be looked at as one of the greatest romantic movies of all times. But then it's not.
The movie is about a man who was murdered, then returns as a ghost because he still loved his girlfriend and wanted to catch his killer. If you could ignore the fact that there is no ghost, then perhaps you'll get over the first hurdles of this movie. But if you're one does not believe that there is such a thing as a ghost, then the movie is simply nothing but mindless entertainment.
The director of this movie, it seems, was confused as to whether this movie should be a comedy, a romance or a drama type movie. Because of that, all the elements were incorporated together and that ruined the movie. The humor in the movie was dry, the romance cheesy and the dramatic elements were anything but. As one person wrote, by the middle of the movie, we already knew what would happen next and who the murderer was.
This movie also lacks one other element -- logic. For any logical person who could think critically, this movie should be very painful to watch. Nothing they do in the movie makes any sense.
For those who are thinking about watching this movie as a movie date -- please don't bother. It's a waste of money, fake tears and if you end up liking the movie, your date *if your date is at all smart*, will laugh at you for being superstitious, sophomoric and stupid.

Sue : Yeah I do actually I think it's a good thing.
Ali : Do you think all girls should try feminism at least once? Do you think it's right that they should try it when they is drunk at a party or what ever with one of their mates?

An amazing book by an amazing woman

Someone once said to never buy an autobiography written by someone who is still alive because it tends to be boring. They were wrong.
This book, though considered as a self-serving book by many right-wing extremists, is perhaps one most the most amazing books that came along. It gives first-eye views into the world of perhaps the second-most amazing woman on the planet. With humor, honestly and passion, Hillary Clinton describes her life from growing up in a Republican family in a small town, to becoming one of the most recognized and beloved person in the White House.

Described in her books are the many adventures, learning experiences and coming-of-age realizations during her trip to the White House. Contained in the book, too, is the story of how she and Bill Clinton met. Perhaps one of the most romantic relationships ever started, this sheds new light on the romantic relationship of the Clinton. It allows us to see that it wasn't a relationship based on politics, but rather two people who are in love, and who share a common interest in making progress in the important areas of American politics -- pushing for acceptance, family values and human rights.

For those who intend to buy this book because they want to read all the "dirt" on the Monica Lewinsky fiasco, don't bother. This book isn't about airing dirty landry for the American public to read. What it is, though, is also a description of the troubled times she and Mr. Clinton went through and how, because they loved each other, made it through.
It probably isn't a "must-read" for any political junkie, but for any freedom loving Democrat, this book inspires and makes one realize there are still good, honest, patriotic politicians in America.

I don't know if you've noticed the same trends, but I am very disturbed that in the past weeks, there seems to be a rise in violence against women. The college student in New York who was abducted and killed, the man who killed his family and shot himself on the freeway in middle America, the police officer who killed his pregnant wife, and now, the professional wrestler who supposedly (and allegedly) killed his wife and child - there seems to be a rise in violence against women.

In all these news stories, the focus is always on the "investigation," but never is feminist thought applied to this - asking why the rise in violence against women? Or, perhaps, is it that the media is merely focusing more on these cases now, being bored with Iraq and having nothing to report about the violations of the Bush Administration?

I assert this: violence against women can be blamed by the culture in which we live in, the one that eroticizes violence and misogyny. Take a look around you - the magazine ads that feature women in the trunk of a vehicle, diamonds that are depicting women lying on the floor with phrases like "to die for," video games that feature violence against women, television shows that show women being murdered.
