Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:39 (thirteen years ago) link

Good song, but 70s Priest >>>>>>> 80s Priest.

EZ Snappin, Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:39 (thirteen years ago) link

1980 was still kinda the '70s.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:40 (thirteen years ago) link

okay, taking a short nap now. can't stay awake any long. keep going, but don't do the top two until I get back.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:41 (thirteen years ago) link

Not in sound - British Steel sounds more like what follows it than one precedes it. And I don't care for it.

EZ Snappin, Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:41 (thirteen years ago) link

70s everything >>>>>>> 80s everything tbh

A prog venn diagram for you to think about (Matt #2), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:41 (thirteen years ago) link

I think 1980 was one of the most '80s years of the '80s, to tell you the truth.

Chicago to Philadelphia: "Suck It" (Bill Magill), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:42 (thirteen years ago) link

BTW as some light relief from the deadly serious poll, have a read of this: http://www.theonion.com/articles/recently-single-al-gore-finally-able-to-listen-to,17824/

― A prog venn diagram for you to think about (Matt #2),

i'm inclined to agree...

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:45 (thirteen years ago) link

I love the 70s AND the 80s like my identical twin children. Don't make me choose.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:46 (thirteen years ago) link

(irl I have no children)

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:47 (thirteen years ago) link

you are the thompson twins irl.

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:47 (thirteen years ago) link

no wonder you guys are moaning, you're all a bunch of old farts!

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:48 (thirteen years ago) link

lol

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:48 (thirteen years ago) link

I'm not old I was just born too late.

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:48 (thirteen years ago) link

If I didn't love the 70s, I couldn't use this username with a clear conscience.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:49 (thirteen years ago) link

none of you were born to be wild for sure

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:49 (thirteen years ago) link

I specifically remember vetoing that song in any form during the nominations.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:50 (thirteen years ago) link

Why?

A prog venn diagram for you to think about (Matt #2), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:50 (thirteen years ago) link

you guys can go here http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:51 (thirteen years ago) link

Also, you'll notice that I am STILL awake. If I start to go off the rails (on a crazy train) at any point, someone come to my house and make me go to sleep.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:51 (thirteen years ago) link

Why?

Because it's not a real song anymore. It's wallpaper.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:51 (thirteen years ago) link

What time is it where you are Johnny?

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:52 (thirteen years ago) link

Herm and/or Fido, I have to logoff in about two hours to go boozing, so let's get at it.

Chicago to Philadelphia: "Suck It" (Bill Magill), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:52 (thirteen years ago) link

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:52 (thirteen years ago) link

ready for #11?

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:52 (thirteen years ago) link

yessss

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:53 (thirteen years ago) link

and into the 00s we go..

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:54 (thirteen years ago) link

I slept on Monday night, stayed up overnight on Tuesday and into Tuesday morning, slept that afternoon. Then did the same again on Wednesday. But I haven't slept at all since about 4pm yesterday. This is what happens to you when you don't have a job and the people who live with you are out of town and you have the house to yourself.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:55 (thirteen years ago) link

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:58 (thirteen years ago) link

Honestly this should be a motorhead song at #11, not a motorhead inspired song.

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:58 (thirteen years ago) link

At this point, I'm hoping for 10 straight Motorhead tracks to round out the poll.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:59 (thirteen years ago) link

john can you (or dan) change the thread title to top 10 please?

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:59 (thirteen years ago) link

I voted for Devilution top 5 I think. Awesome fucking song!

Chicago to Philadelphia: "Suck It" (Bill Magill), Thursday, 5 August 2010 19:59 (thirteen years ago) link

These will be forever known as truly the 10 greatest hard rock/ heavy metal tracks of all time.

Green Manalishi (Viceroy), Thursday, 5 August 2010 20:04 (thirteen years ago) link

Let's go! All the talking about High on Fire has been done already.

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 20:07 (thirteen years ago) link

Those tired of High on Fire are tired of life, sir.

Chicago to Philadelphia: "Suck It" (Bill Magill), Thursday, 5 August 2010 20:08 (thirteen years ago) link

I would definitely listen to High on Fire before I would some other very suspect things that have cracked this top 100. But yeah, no one's conversing, so let's move ahead!

Johnelle Fevráe (Johnny Fever), Thursday, 5 August 2010 20:10 (thirteen years ago) link
