darn straight.
Anyone who doesn't vote for the head cleaner only gets to listen to the others with muffled sound.

Would have voted for 'Cassette -> 8 Track converter cartridge', but surely that Kraftwerk album is worth a bit of money?

For a moment I thought that "8 Track converter cartridge" by Cassette was some rad unknown-to-me 70s electronic noise project or something, and in my head it was the best thing ever
but, either Shaft or Kraftwerk, probably Kraftwerk

In fact here is a helpful picture of the 3 I could pretty happily listen to on their own forever a week or two:http://i652.photobucket.com/albums/uu241/dnvnoo/t_e_e.jpg

nicest 8-track haul i had was at the thrift store on marthas vineyard when i found hell by james brown and cosmic slop along with some other james brown and stax titles. funky 8-track party.

i might have to go with the doors full circle here for some reason. something poetic about having an album nobody ever listens to on a format that nobody ever plays.
its funny that the sex pistols 8-track is one of the big ticket ones to find, because that was one of the first 8-tracks i ever heard. my brother brought it home from his record store job for a friend and we played some of it in my sister's room. she was the only one with a player in her stereo. it sounded like incomprehensible noise to me. i had no reference point for the pistols at the time.

And that can also be played continuously "full circle". Also I have to say that 'Clair de Lune' on 8 track is some epic stupidity... dundun dundundundnudun CLUNK! dunudn dun duuuuuuuuuun CLUNK! dund undundun...

MP3s downloaded from the internet, burnt onto CD-R, played in an MP3 compatible portable CD player, thru a cassette adaptor plugged into a cassette > 8 track adapter = backwards compatibility...

love those kinds of memories. I remember hearing bauhaus' "third uncle" in a record store when I was 11 or 12, it sounded like complete insanity.

I voted for "New Horizon" because I have that and really enjoyed it. I figure if you're going to buy 8-tracks get something that is 8-tracky not My Fair Lady or Led Zeppelin. I used to collect 8-tracks back in the early to mid nineties when I didn't have a lot of money but you could get some super obscure 60s or 70s record for a quarter.
This is a fabulous coincidence because I just scanned some cool 8's of my own and want to post them to this board. I didn't know if 8-tracks would offend vinyl people.
