"White group takes elements from hipster "rebellious" genres of black and white music. Punk/Dub or Metal/Rap"

Isn't this like every band from the Carter Family to the Beatles to like every post-punk Brit act.

I was born in 1979, and I have the CD version in a tin. Does that get me props?

Thought not.

I finally figured out my fascination with ILM; it's the only place where being born earlier makes you cooler. It does, right???

Has anyone else here had the experience of their Metal Box getting all corroded and rusty over the years? I don't remember leaving it out in the rain. Maybe I should buy some polish.

Also, why does the music speak mainly to a male audience? I knew loads of gal PiL fans, but admittedly, that was ages ago.

mine is v.tarnished too :(

When I worked in used rekord store, most of the pil tinnies we got in were a bit rusty. The starnglers "Raven" w/ 3D sleever was cooler IMO (I still own a copy of that one, but have only PIL's 1st - on CD at that)

Old ILX threads are so weird.

the new ones are much more academic and vetted of controversial opinions to pre-empt people from calling the poster a moron who doesn't know anything about music history and the nuances of every sub-genre.
