Am I the only person who confused "Who Let the Dogs Out" with DMX at first?

The first time I ever heard of Lil Jon was in the "Bass" issue of *Grand Royal,* I think. He was a DJ in Atlanta or something in those days, if I remember right.

Yeah and he worked for So So Def as an A&R.

Lil' Jon's first industry job was at So So Def!

When I first heard DMX's "Party Up (Up In Here)" a few years after it came out I assumed it was Bonecrusher, who I had yet to hear.

Miami Bass almost single-handedly kept both "Planet Rock" electro rhythms and "Louie Louie" frat yells alive, later to be crunked. This is VERY important, and don't let anybody try to tell you otherwise.

For fucks sake. Way to conveniently forget NOLA bounce, Memphis bass music, DJ Jubilee, early Suave House, Ride Out music etcetc. Lil Jon was making "crunk" music since 1994, it's not some sudden new variation on the "Louie Louie Template". And quit with the cringey rock music comparisons, please.
