supremes...though my only hesitation is that so many of their songs are about the same thing - you broke-a my heart. So they'd never win against the various Alpha Males of Motown for me, but they definitely trounce Beyonce and the gang (I originally assumed her name was pronounced Beee-ounce. How wrong I was).

all those supremes songs would've sounded way better had they been sung by the four tops.
