All children's characters are terrifying in Greater Europeland, iirc.

ENERGY FOOD (en i see kay), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 23:43 (thirteen years ago) link

my boss is egging on my sketch too much, i want to make it weird but not terrifying, he is going for the horror jugular, but in the end i am confident the entire sketch won't scare the kids.

i borrowed as many masks as possible for the sketch, needing a generic weird animal mask for a dream sequence, and on the way back combined the owl face mask with the rabbit. couldn't stop laughing in the lift. love my job.

does an owlrabbit have to be careful not to prey upon itself?

still they got me like beezus (Pillbox), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 23:44 (thirteen years ago) link

indeed...and not to scare itself by soundtracking its actions with weird french gypsy music off a free incidental cd

holy fuck owlrabbit is TERRIFYING!! aaaaaaahhhhhh whyyyyy

obliquity of the ecliptic (rrrobyn), Thursday, 29 July 2010 04:15 (thirteen years ago) link

Owlrabbit scares the fuck out of me, probably because he reminds me of the horned, owl-headed rider from the The Dark is Rising books, of whom I used to have terrible nightmares when I was kid.

The skit will be online for uk ppl tmrw, I'll try and upload it for all of you somewhere else. Amazingly it has a loose sporting relevance. There's a chance of me moving away from my current job into just writing sketches for kids tv soon tho, which might be fun!

Ronan what show do you work on? I thought I figured it out as Newsround in the past but I'm obviously waaaay off point - unless Newsround has gone mental since I last watched it.

toe punted it and no follow through?

ninjas and lasers and gold and (snoball), Thursday, 29 July 2010 20:19 (thirteen years ago) link

Slating unjustified. Cruyff never had to set the timer then sprint back to get his shot in on time.

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 29 July 2010 20:20 (thirteen years ago) link

The second pick could be photoshopped into a "spot the ball" competition.
