I was setting up a milling machine with a level, staring at the bubble, when it hit. Thought I was seeing things when the bubble went all crazy before I realized it was a quake.

I felt a sharp jolt like someone had dropped something heavy on the hardwood floor right next to me and then a little vibration. Just enough to make the hairs on my neck stand up. I need to sleep...

I'm flying out there tonight, unfortunately no time for fun as I'll be spending a long day each at a site in Ontario and El Segundo.

What's the general anxiety level with you Californians then about earthquakes?

Drop soap, not bombs (Ste), Wednesday, 31 December 2014 00:04 (nine years ago) link

we've been under threat of a BIG ONE for as long as I've been alive.. worst one I was in was Northridge and a bunch of our stuff fell down but not much damage.. if you worry about this sort of stuff every day you'll die early.
