Chicago: Totally hands-free!!!

I've never heard of dopp kits, either the name or the thing itself!

From that Wikipedia page, they seem v. useful.

I used to have a black plastic toiletry bag emblazoned with the logo of my high school's production of Guys and Dolls, but it got kind of gross and I threw it out a few years ago.

I use a vinyl one for my glasses and contact-lens case when traveling.

I've owned one for thirteen years, but never called it anything but a shaving kit. Never heard Dopp Kit before.

I only use mine when traveling as well.

i always thought it was a Doc Kit, because mine looks like an ol timey doctors bag but i am an idiot, so.

Mr. Que, it's cool, I know you were just joking around in the spirit of the thread. I was just using your quote to try (unsuccessfully) to deflect the criticism I knew was coming for me trying to steer the thread back on track. But whatever. I'm not reading that thread any more, or at least not today. Actually I was going to take an ILX break but decided to just stick to the Chicago thread.

One thing I love about that sketch is how obvious it is that it came out of improvisation.

I'm a sucker for the sketches that are basically about Bruce McCullough being weird, like all the Gavin sketches.

Actually that whole issue was pretty great. They cataloged the "best of the south side". That record store in Beverly made it, along with Salonica and a bunch of other places that have been mentioned on Chi threads gone by.
