v00redoms = noise

I like it = It is probably not Noize any more, if indeed it ever was. Q.E.D.

those ones on ebay are lame

gear (gear), Wednesday, 28 June 2006 22:17 (seventeen years ago) link

PROS: there's lots of non-lame ones in Japan.
CONS: they start around $50 and go up to around $200 per.

the ones they were selling early on in this tour were the same lame ones they were selling in '05. greater variety of shirt colors but same graphic.

killy (baby lenin pin), Sunday, 2 July 2006 15:57 (seventeen years ago) link

Machibuse '80 (ex machina), Sunday, 2 July 2006 19:54 (seventeen years ago) link

Anyone know what the red tape thing in "JP EDITION" is?

Machibuse '80 (ex machina), Sunday, 2 July 2006 20:04 (seventeen years ago) link

haha killy - yeah, i found myself conveniently situated stage left. i don't know if i saw any rat-looking girls. there was a blonde in white dancing nearby and a german-japanese woman standing next to me. so many dudes tho!

i'll upload more pics soon. shooting digi w/o flash in dark room for action is tougher than i thought! apologies for mixed quality + "artistry".

blackmail (blackmail.is.my.life), Monday, 3 July 2006 11:33 (seventeen years ago) link

yeah, lots of dudes. lots of girls too, though! i was standing right next to the huge speakers, touching them, buzzing.

cool pic

had fun at the show but didn't run into any noize dudes, had a pretty good vantage point upstairs so I didn't really move around much except to check out the merch

scuttlebutt is that 77 drums may happen on 7/7/07 ...

dmr (Renard), Tuesday, 4 July 2006 01:11 (seventeen years ago) link

can you elaborate on the 77 drums - i heard it was canceled.

jhoshea (scoopsnoodle), Tuesday, 4 July 2006 20:34 (seventeen years ago) link

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 4 July 2006 20:36 (seventeen years ago) link

evidently, or so a co-worker just told me (with a certain seriousness), i listen to boredomes because i wasn't hugged enough as a child....

bb (bbrz), Monday, 31 July 2006 18:07 (seventeen years ago) link

I'd say you're better off for it.

I'm not going to hug my children too much....I don't want them to have sucky taste in music.

Maybe I'll send him a copy of my "Folktronic" album, Bluegrass Bobcat sounds a lot to me like my Appalachia. (Although the reference to a "girl" in my lyric may well frighten him.)

He's an otaku. In Japan they've become fashionable and sexy to girls following a hit manga, novel, TV series and feature film called Densha Otoko: Train Man. He sounds like the kind of guy who should move to Japan -- for the games, the trains, and the girls. His cockpit-style living space is also very Japanese.

C/D = The last song the Boredoms recorded may have actually been the Phish cover.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 06:09 (seventeen years ago) link

isn't Seadrum attirbuted to the classic era boredoms lineup

Machibuse '80 (ex machina), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 12:56 (seventeen years ago) link

since the cover is pretty good (and if I didn't know it was Phish cover, I'd just assume it was a new Boredoms song), classic. However, the sudden disappearance of the band who made VCN is pretty dud, especially since there a lot of bands now doing a primal beat thing that aren't as good

Dominique (dleone), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 13:53 (seventeen years ago) link

Seadrum/House Of Sun was also recorded in 2001.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Tuesday, 29 August 2006 14:16 (seventeen years ago) link

Karera Musication was recorded in 2002 (but no EYE).
