also it was just a big ugly room painted black and decorated with ugly ikea fixtures...shooting for "hip" and "austere" and missing the mark with just lookin cheap. i would take a plain old dive over one with pretensions of coolness any day.

harefield road is nice and homey, fake irish bar, you can smoke weed out back. wayyyyyyyy better than legion.

Actually I was complaining about Legion this time! :D It took so long to get served last time that everyone was leaving by the time my tequila came.

i'd rather drink at the roebling tea room than almost anywhere else in williamsburg. good music (albeit from an ipod), spacious, rarely crowded, and BEER & BRATWURST SPECIAL.

harefield rd is a sports bar for hipsters and the brunch sucks

roebling tea room is kind of a pricey date (rip catwon ;_;)

legion was also giving me haircut anxiety. i like bars where i don't feel like a tool going in my dorky work clothes.

I'm not anxious. I just refuse to go back to Daddy's. Also I dislike it when the bartender's main job doesn't seem to be serving people alcohol. Being an awesome hipster and posing behind the bar might be what they pay you for in Wburg but it's not a vote of confidence for me.

Polly is one of the few people who called me "danny" because she grew up in a town near me and was friends with my little cousin, who always called referred to me as "my cousin danny" and she recognized me as his cousin at some !!! show or something years ago.

Aw! After I stopped going in on the reg I was there for the first time in like 6 months and John remembered me as a former happy hour regular. Then I saw him on the street in midtown and he said hi by name. Impressive! Once we watched Oprah at like 4am lol.
