You know, a lot of you are hopeless. Actually, I was out of town for a few days and now I'm back. Yes Aimless, you really ARE hopeless.

Eric Lynch (Lynch), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 20:38 (twenty years ago) link

Do you remember where you were? Could you find it again?

Zen Clown (Zen Clown), Tuesday, 28 October 2003 22:08 (twenty years ago) link

Not for nothing was Aimless voted "most likely to light up the souls of countless millions with his boundless hope" three years running at his alma mater, Hope High (motto: "Everything's gonna be just fine"). Aimless' devotion to the cause of limtless optimism has led him into a spectacular career running and off-track book at Haydock, wherein he assures me "the weirdest odds are the fun ones for cash you bet". and who am I to argue with him?
Aimless is the man who once ploughed a field and planted it with coins, reasoning "If nothing else, I have a field full of coins."
Aimless signifies hope for us all, even you, Mr Lynch. ESPECIALLY you.

In reply to Eric Lynch I can only repeat what they say: best to laugh last than be he who laughs inordinately or otherwise.

Aimless, Sunday, 2 November 2003 19:34 (twenty years ago) link

I like laughing last, but only if done hysterically.

Matt (Matt), Monday, 3 November 2003 12:53 (twenty years ago) link

Since I was born in the spring of '46, I'm betting that I have the distinction, on this list, at least, of having the "first" laugh.

I know, I know. I've heard the rumors about Rex and Aimless playing "strip" cribbage in T.E. Lawrence's tent but I don't believe them. (It is also rumored that "Tommie" was known to cheat and have his opponents naked in a thrice or pretend to lose...what a rascal...)

What was the question? Oh, yes...Never tighten wing-nuts with a tool. As Matt knows all too well, if you can't get them out of that device in a hurry, you may have a mess to clean up.

five years pass...

Since I was the spring of distinction, on this least, of the "first" rumors in Lawrence's opponents, I know I don't believe the question

Rex, known to wing-nuts and a tool out of that device, in a hurry, rumored that I've heard to clean up the '46

...what a rascal...

Here's a thought:- why was the TV series of Polergeist absolutely no fucking good whatsoever? If they'd made the focus of the series Kane from P2 and brought in some wierd shit like in Sliders then I'd have a lovely reason to stay in on a Thursday night.
