a big second vote for "only life." there are also some get individual tracks you could put on a mix cd for the trip, like "silver" by echo and the bunnymen and zep's "ramble on."

Revive! I know it's still technically summer but ...
I second the Feelies — any Feelies.
Also I would add that any Mark Mulcahy music — Miracle Legion and Polaris, especially — seems to provide a perfect soundtrack for the fall.
