I love this album. I think it's better than This Is Happening fwiw. The track with Nancy Whang is ace.

never paid much attention to "shit robot" before, but "ft. lidell townsell" made me perk up.

imo even w lidell factored in it's pretty wack (to say nothing of the remixes) but the old stuff is great

the lidell remix is maybe not that bad sound-wise but really really earnest-corny in spirit

found the debut Sh&t Robot/DFA album on cd today for bobbins in a charity shop.
this thread is interesting.
had no idea re the DFA vs ILM thing.
not so sure re the album.
at times it sounds like offcuts from hot chip vs DFA sessions.
but as always with DFA stuff, it will probably take a few more listens and in a couple of months i will be declaring this the best album ever released.
