I couldn't find it on-line, but I am pretty sure Jack Davis did a portrait of Anthrax back in the 80s.

The booklet from Eels "Electroshock Blues" featured cartoons by Adrian Tomine, Chester Brown, Seth, and Debbie Dreschler. But can I find a scan anywhere online? Can I heck. I've only got the cassette version here, and they're all tiny and barely legible.

Wow...that one is a mind blower in a way, I don't think I had ever put 2 and 2 together to realize 'Bat out of Hell' was done by Corben. I got that Groundhogs album by Adams back in the 80s because it was drawn by Adams only much much later to come to dig their music.

Just looked up Phantom Band out of curiosity and they're dull as only a Scottish indie band can be.

Quitely is Scottish too, isn't he? Maybe he knows the band personally or something.

I saw this cassette in a thrift store in high school and got it just because of the cover art. I had seen just a few Mark Beyer panels in a book about comics but I wanted to read his stuff so bad. This was the closest I could get. I bought it and it was responsible for getting me into Zorn and Coleman. Thanks Mark Beyer!

That's definitely Gibbons on the Kula Shaker, IIRC he did the singles as well.

Just remembered Phil Jimenez did a? some? Kula Shaker singles. Though I can't find anything on the interwebs that looks like either of them, bar the album, so maybe I still R incorrectly.

I dunno, maybe not the design, but the detailed linework on the robot and motorcycle is very much Jimenez.

Did McFarlane just give the band an unused piece of Spawn art, or did they specifically want Spawn to be on their album cover?

Wikipedia says the cover was designed by someone called Mark Kostabi, can't find any info that he ever was a comic book artist?

Jim Woodring's first record cover was for the Christmas album Vortex.

Ed Brubaker did a cover for a San Diego band called Field Trip in around '91.

P Craig Russell has done several covers for the new music label Bridge Records, including a couple of stunners in their George Crumb series.

Woodring did the critter on the front of El Oso by Soul Coughing, but not the design, I assume
