its like how you cant show boobs on tv but you can show someones hed getting blown off then eaten by a dog except if you could show boobs most of time but then the fcc gave you a $1m fine for showing boobs on hbo

Fwiw, I'm not butthurt over the banning at all. I briefly considered sending Pashmina a missive detailing why Tombot is the worst, but then decided it wasn't worth it. I am mad however, about Tombot falsely accusing me and Jordan S. about spreading really terrible rumors that we wasn't even aware of, let alone involved with. I'm actually glad that thread got deleted, because things got really fucked up toward the end.

I wasn't accusing anyone, I was making a very slightly facetious exaggeration about the kind of shit that winds up getting bandied about whenever people decide they want to go down the road of meta gossip

i'm just glad i can't tell any of you apart in my head. it pretty much negates the desire for gossip from 1/3/7 years ago.

fuck i really don't want to get into this anymore but "meta" as it pertains to things like ask chaki is rarely "gossip" when that word refers to maliciously spreading secrets so "meta gossip" is kind of a bullshit term and again gives the impression that the regulars of this board are ruining ilx by telling ppls deep dark secrets when instead we're really just re-posting dumb shit that we all say on the main boards

that's fine tom but ilx dickishness has a long ass history that stretches way back before ask chaki/ what we are referring to as "meta culture" and it's kinda bs for me and rev and whoever else to take the brunt (not talking about the banning) of the wrath from the old posters who are disillusioned by what ilx has become

and anyway basically all of the ilx gossip mongering ive witnessed has happened on aim and it usually stays there, and this whole thing has been blow way out of proportion since this past weekend

look tom if you're referring specifically to the deleted thread on 77, i truly wasn't playing dumb w/r/t the chart i copied and pasted. that chart was really fucking long and i didn't read all of it and only posted it into the thread because the whole thread was people complaining about not seeing it and i figured no one was going to get butthurt about perpetua_pineapple.jpg joeks

other than you being really fucking pissy and self-righteous on the behalf of other people who are plenty capable of speaking for themselves, as seen here, the sum total of the effects of me being a "drunken dickhead" are

1. some guys didn't post as much as they would have over a weekend I guess
2. a thread that nobody so far disagrees with the deletion of has been deleted, and replaced with a much improved version
3. a few people thinking that I have set some kind of dangerous precedent for total mod fascism which is possibly a sign that they need to go see a doctor about their long term memory unless they just started posting here a year ago
