in case Hunt3r is wondering, that is indeed the euro fit from the looks of it.

I will see if I can persuade my one artistic colleague to take a stab at this in illustrator. She will like the pie aspect.

OK, I am negotiating a deal with my friend to do the design work. Are we willing to take some sponsorship in return for the design, either for the QTPi(e) project above or for the "Caravan Collective" an effort to promote the american dream by selling hotdogs to hipsters.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Thursday, 8 July 2010 13:11 (thirteen years ago) link

possibly hotdog of hipsters, by hipster and for hipsters, i don't know, I grilled hotdogs for several hours on friday night in return for beer so it feels like a worthy effort to me.

I need to know where we'd get this printed so I can give a template to the artist.

Quick research says Pactimo, $62 for a continental racefit jersey, min order is 5, Bibs are $63 and I'd be interested if 4 others are, I will need another bib soon.

http://www.pactimo.com/custom/galleries/continental/products/1338

pricing
http://www.pactimo.com/custom/pages/ordering_made_easy

By no means an exhaustive search, but seems to have the lowest min order and good pricing. We'd get a better deal with http://champ-sys.com/ min 10 @$45 with the added bonus of no minimums on additional items like bibs.

Big Question though:

Club or Race Fit?

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Monday, 12 July 2010 13:11 (thirteen years ago) link

I'm in whatever the score - thanks guys.

Mark C, Monday, 12 July 2010 14:09 (thirteen years ago) link

I need to build up my cycling wardrobe, so I'd buy a jersey if it would help.

yeah ditto

what's the design like??

asking a dog for permission to throw a party (gbx), Monday, 12 July 2010 14:21 (thirteen years ago) link

made a quick sketch in paintbrush based on ed's and gbx's original designs:

asking a dog for permission to throw a party (gbx), Monday, 12 July 2010 15:24 (thirteen years ago) link

ha : )

that could be iltmi, I guess

colnagl (cozen), Monday, 12 July 2010 15:26 (thirteen years ago) link

coming together, we're using the mexico jersey as a prototype, deeper chevron on the front, club crest replacing the mexico one. Back will have a larger mantis, pies on the pockets, QTPi(e) logos up the sides. Q. is working on the crest right now, I hope to be able to post that up in a week or so. Might be a fairly slowish process.

Did you check the spelling on the Finnish?

Does anyone have an idea for a typeface for the motto?

Do we want anything on the sleeves?

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Monday, 12 July 2010 15:50 (thirteen years ago) link

<3 gbx's style in his pic. We'll all get the chance to approve the design, right?

Also, pls pls pls check the finnish is correct, with an actual finnish person (suggest Charlie Wegelius, who may want to buy a jersey), thx.

Cofidis have a good kit. Columbia's is awful. Garmin doesn't do it for me either, Radioshack is a bit robotic. I like Astana's colourscheme but they're tainted. Euskeltal kit is great, but somehow Rabobank isn't. Lampre's over the top. Saxobank is okay.
