What's the unusual detail in the X-Clan text?

Tuomas, Tuesday, 25 May 2010 11:16 (thirteen years ago) link

Not an unusual detail, but Joey Kramer's article photo made me laugh:

These early conceptualizations of both kinds of hysteria carried notions of women's deficiency due to penis envy and feelings of castration. Sigmund Freud, has largely been discredited by other professionals in the psychology field. This is a very outdated theory that should be given very little or any credence. Paul Chodoff has written about the ways in which these diagnoses paralleled the misogynistic sentiment of the times.

Bummer for you, Sigmund. Little or any credence. :-(

A Spanish dub of the film keeps the acronym S.O.B., claiming that it stands for "Sois hOnrados Bandidos" (You Are Honest Crooks). Notice that the second word begins with a mute H, not with an O. The Argentine title for the movie was changed to Se acabó el mundo (The World is Ended), having no relation to the original title.

At some point after his departure from the Wailers, Tosh developed an interest in unicycles and knitting, he became an accomplished rider, being able to ride forwards and backwards and hop. He often amused his audiences by riding onto the stage on his unicycle for his shows.[5][6] .

I guess this is fame:

Much of the interest surrounding the band can be related back to the blogosphere, with indie blog I Guess I'm Floating introducing the band stateside in May 2009. Thereafter The Middle East had over one hundred blog entries from around the world writing about the band.

Throughout history the city of Detroit is classified[by whom?] as a "hard working blue collar city" with tough labor jobs on the assembly line and other industrial work. Some[who?] say that Detroit has experienced the toughest of times for blue and white collar workers. [5] These individuals work their glistening, taut muscles almost daily in practical application.

Bondi Beach: New Years Eve '06 is a studio album by Fatboy Slim. It was recorded before he played at Bondi Beach, in Sydney, Australia. It contains tracks that he later went on to play in his live set at Bondi Beach. The title is often mistakenly written without the apostrophe in front of the "06". However, the album art indicates that the correct spelling contains the apostrophe.

In the last few years Texarkana has developed very quickly, and a vast array of new stores and services have been popping up. Yet is still behind in times and lacks entertainment for the youth of the area. The youth commonly describe the only things to do in town are drink and, well use your imagination.

from wikipedia:

According to a 2009 interview, Snoop Dogg assisted The D.O.C. in seeking a voice therapist. It was found that The D.O.C.'s vocal cords are not irreparably severed or crushed, and that his voice could still be surgically restored by up to 70%. As such, LA-Based Publicist, Idalyze Nasiha Rose, has assisted him in finding a surgeon who will repair his vocal cords. The D.O.C. is currently undergoing final tests before the surgery takes place, which may or may not be televised.

Guttenberg has starred in three film franchises: Police Academy, Cocoon, and Three Men and a Baby. He has also appeared in such renowned films as Diner, The Bedroom Window, The Boys from Brazil, and Short Circuit. Guttenberg recently revealed on his Facebook site that Short Circuit was in fact an allegory for the Russian Revolution of 1917.[4] Although Guttenberg is known as a film actor, his roots are in the theater. His first film as director/producer/co-screenwriter/star was the adaptation of a Broadway hit, the stage comedy/drama P.S. Your Cat Is Dead (2002) by James Kirkwood Jr., co-author of A Chorus Line. Guttenberg also starred in the Cinderella pantomime at Churchill Theatre in Bromley, playing the Baron (father of Cinderella) in 2008.

SleeperX is a four-piece experimental metal band from Perth, Western Australia.

...

Though active in the Australian metal scene, the band's penchant for noise-making, irreverent live performances (including the practice of Freemasonic rituals onstage) and unconventional instrumentation has earned them a reputation for innovation and spontaneity within avant-garde musical circles.

Additionally, lead singer, James Crossglans, is renowned in the local scene for the noticeable erections he gets on stage.

The band is currently in pre-production for its debut full length album, The Long March
