@Peter Abelsen:Ofschoon zn solo-plaat van vorig jaar niet zo'n beste zet schijnt te zijn geweest (niet gehoord, geen mening), spoed ik mij al ras naar de dansvloer bij het horen van de mondharmonica uit The The's "Dogs of Lust". Op de platen van Matt Johnson verrichtte hij goed werk en enkele Electronic-nummers vind ik ook zeer de moeite waard.
@Hotel Lives:"Vauxhall and I" kan zich meten met t beste van de Smiths. Draai die plaat vaker dan pak m beet "Meat is Murder".
@Pien:Heb ze achteraf ontdekt, vijf jaar terug de bio van Rogan gelezen en tot de conclusie gekomen, dat ik de Smith juist leuk vind door Marr.

Verder heb ik niet gezegd dat Marr het brein achter the Smiths was (dus de vergelijking die jij maakt gaat niet op) maar dat het juist de combinatie van Morrissey met Marr bijzonder was. Als je gewoon had gelezen voordat je was gaan gillen dan had je je nu niet zo'n neerbuigend toontje aan hoeven te slaan.

Years of Refusal leaked. Meh. Better than the last record but not as good as Quarry and generally a bit dull? "It's not your birthday anymore" is really the only track on here I really like. Both this and the last album SOUND awful.
